Festivaling!

We love a festival, but we wanted to know why others loved one too. These were the Top 10 reasons and our responses.

  1. MUSIC
We agreed. The truth is that most of the top acts we heard were when we were sitting in camp with our friends and family. As we spent time chatting and laughing, the music added to the feel-good factor. A sing-along in a field.
  2. MEMORABLE MOMENTS
Spending time with our children is of paramount importance. I have a child whom is almost 18 and is about to venture off to University, yet she said, “Spending time with you at Latitude, is the highlight of my year!”
  3. SOCIALISING
We love the amazing moments that we share whilst camping. Our tent’s neighbours – the guy playing guitar next door, the children blowing bubbles across our way and the instant chat with those pitched nearby. New experiences = new friends.
  4. FANCY OUTFIT
Did we wear flower garlands and funky outfits? Of course! It was amazing though how many people commented on our camp. We pitched two 4m tents, two 3m tents and a tarp. It looked pretty impressive!
  5. SPECIAL MAKE-UP
The deal was that we would allow our children to ‘make-up’ their parents…Big mistake!
  6. CAMPING
This consisted of four bell tents that were full of our closest friends and children. The doors all faced each other and every night we wished each other a ‘Goodnight’ and every morning, we wished each other a ‘Good Morning.’ We are Mums and our teenage children wanted to spend time with us in camp. I think that says it all.
  7. ENJOY THE WEATHER
Hey! We live in Britain. This is far too unpredictable. We had thunderstorms and heat-waves. Watching a storm from within canvas is pretty special. If you have never done it, do so. It’s mind-blowing.
  8. DRINKING
You can grab a beer, if you want. However, honestly, spending time under canvas with your nearest and dearest is a buzz in itself.
  9. SPOTTING A CELEBRITY
Oops Yes! Kinda took a wrong turn and ended up backstage. Saw Jason Manford, before he hit the comedy stage.
  10. IT’S FUN
Absolutely. We agree. BUT you don’t need to spend hundreds to create the same effect. Grab some friends, grab some tents, find a location and live.

We can help you do that. xxx
